PRESENTATION  LONGAS ITALIA GROUP

Founded in 1961 by Giuseppe Longhi, who has skilfully directed it for more of 45 years, Longas Italia is still one of the brands of reference of the gas conversion World.

The initial idea to produce devices for the alternative fuelling with gas of vehicles originally fuelled with petrol, become soon a realty and since that moment the Longas products were distinguished  for the high contents of creativity and for the technological innovation adopted for their realization, like the LPG reducer and the gas proof casing, the whose solutions had to be protected by means of patents; and was in the same contest that started a long and profitable collaboration with Weber and Fiat, for the research, the experimentation and the development of new theories and of alternative fuelling systems.
It was in 1974, with the realization of a new model of LPG tank, equipped with a special device to limit the filling up to the 80% of the total volume (patented), that Longas became one of the few brands able to propose conversion kits complete with a tank of its own production.

In addition to their customers, that with unchanged fidelity from always confirm the reliability of the products, Longas Italia is further engaged to ensure the quality and the continuous amelioration of their devices, this is evidenced by the obtaining of the EN ISO 9001: 2000 certification.

Another point of pride of Longas Italia, is the recent installation, in the Italian plant, of a testing room, equipped with roll bench and sophisticated instrument for the analysis of the exhausts and the adjacent conference room, as well as the creation of an installation shop, whom are proving themselves particularly helpful for the experimentation of devices and systems and for the training of the technicians, as well as the technicians of the customers.

Nowadays the products of Longas Italia are exported and appreciated in all those Countries where is active the autogas market and nearly a half of century from its foundation, nothing seems to be changed in that spirit of innovation that from always distinguishes this Company
